Human Resources Manager

Looking for a dynamic individual who will be the link between management and employees, ensuring all employment relations and activities run smoothly for our Company to achieve its organizational goals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the employee life cycle through the following phases; recruitment process ensuring equal opportunity employment, hiring, onboarding, training and retirement
  • Manage a competitive benefits package including periodic reviews to ensure provider and benefits are optimized
  • Manage, review and improve employee programs
  • Maintain employee records and lead the performance evaluation process
  • Manage HR, Compensation and General Services budgets
  • Support internal development & mobility, identifying and recommending internal talent
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with internal/external stakeholders
  • Process payroll accurately and within required timelines
  • Responsible for the development, review and implementation of HR policies and procedures
  • Work with departmental managers to create employee training and development programs
  • Act as Facility Manager overseeing quality control over general business operations such as:
    • HVAC maintenance & reliability
    • General building maintenance including overseeing janitorial staff
    • Snow removal
    • Vehicle fleet ensuring asset utilization, fuel consumption and reliability
    • Plumbing
    • Manage associated contracts to ensure adherence to contract terms/conditions
  • Participate in a rotational On-Call Emergency Management Schedule


Qualifications Include:

  • 5+ years previous experience as Human Resources
  • Manager with facility management experience
  • High level knowledge of safety principles and practices
  • Strong knowledge of WorkSafeNB best practices, processes and requirements
  • Extensive experience with benefits providers and packages
  • Excellent collaboration and relationship building skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (oral and written)
  • Be willing to work flexible hours
  • Excellent planning and organization skills to effectively manage and coordinate a variety of activities
